How do I set up my rotation?
Onboarding walks you through it in a few taps: pick your discipline (Fire, EMS, or Police), choose your rotation pattern, set the date your pattern lines up with, and Frontline builds your whole calendar. You can adjust any of it later in Settings.
What happens to my schedule if I lose or replace my phone?
Today your schedule is stored on your device, so it travels with your phone’s own backup (iCloud on iPhone, your Google account on Android). Make sure device backup is turned on and your new phone will restore it. Account-based backup and cross-device sync are on the roadmap, and when they arrive they’ll be optional.
How do shift trades (AWR) work?
Open AWR, mark the day you’re covering and the day you’re getting covered, and Frontline builds a clean share card. Text it to your partner so you both know exactly who works which day, then track it in the ledger until both shifts are worked and it’s settled.
I unlocked Pro but don’t see it, or I switched phones.
Tap Restore purchases on the Pro screen. Your purchase is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, so restoring on a device signed into that same account brings Pro right back. If it still doesn’t show up, email us and we’ll sort it out.
What do I get for free, and what does Pro add?
The free tier runs your whole rotation - the calendar, the full AWR shift-trade ledger, the week-strip widget, PDF and .ics export, hours & leave tracking, and the core Career tab with your shift counter, milestones, and retirement countdowns. Pro adds two-way Google & Apple Calendar sync, the Week, Day and Agenda views, the large month and day widgets in every style, unlimited share cards, cert tracking, the incident & exposure log, and Partner Schedule. Can I get my shifts into Google or Apple Calendar?
Yes. Pro includes two-way Google & Apple Calendar sync - your shifts land in the calendar your family already checks, and events you add there show up in Frontline. Every tier can also export an .ics file that imports into Google Calendar or Apple Calendar, or print a clean PDF for home.
Which phones are supported?
Frontline runs on iOS and Android. Home-screen widgets are available on both.
Is my schedule private?
Your schedule lives on your device, not on our servers, and there’s no account required to use the app. The Privacy Policy lays out exactly how your data is handled.
