The short version
Frontline keeps your schedule on your phone. You don’t need an account to use it, and the schedule, events, shift trades, and exposure logs you create are stored on your device, not on our servers. The only routine network connection the app makes is to the app store, to confirm and restore your purchase. Anything you choose to share, like a trade card or an exported file, goes only where you send it.
This summary is here to be helpful; the full sections below are the complete policy.
Who we are
Frontline - Shift Calendar (“Frontline,” “the app”) is published by
Code 3 Tek LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains how
the app handles information. It applies to the Frontline mobile app
on iOS and Android (app identifier com.code3tek.frontline) and
to this website.
Information in the app
Frontline is built to run on your device. The information you put into the app, including your shift rotation, calendar events, day notes, shift trades (AWR), and any exposure or incident entries, is stored locally on your phone. We do not receive a copy of this information, and we cannot see your schedule.
Because there is no sign-up, we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or department to use the app.
What we do and don’t collect
As the app works today, there is no account and no central server holding your information. We do not collect:
- Your schedule, events, trades, or exposure logs.
- An account, profile, name, or email address.
- Your contacts or location.
- Advertising identifiers, and we do not run ads.
The app does not send your content or usage to us. Apple and Google may collect their own limited, app-level information, such as crash reports or aggregate download numbers, under their own policies and only as you have allowed in your device settings.
Purchases
Pro is unlocked through an in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see or store your card or billing details. To unlock, confirm, and restore a purchase, the app communicates with the store’s purchase service (and the purchase-management provider we use to validate receipts). That exchange involves a purchase receipt and an anonymous, app-generated identifier; it is not linked to your identity and does not include your schedule.
Third-party services
The app relies on a small number of outside services:
- Apple App Store / Google Play for distribution and in-app purchases, under Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies.
- Our purchase-management provider, used only to validate and restore purchases as described above.
- Apps you share to, such as your messaging or calendar app, when you choose to send a card or export.
Accounts and connected features
Frontline does not currently offer or require an account. Everything in the app today, free and Pro, works without one.
Some future Pro features will need more than on-device storage. For example, backing up your schedule to the cloud or syncing it across devices would require you to create an account and sign in, and to send some of your data to that service. Features like these will be optional: you can keep using Frontline, including the Pro features available today, without ever creating an account.
Before any feature like that launches, we will update this policy to spell out exactly what is involved, such as the email address you sign up with and the schedule data you choose to sync, where that information is stored, how long it is kept, and how it is protected. The app will tell you before it sends anything, and you will choose whether to turn the feature on.
Data retention and deletion
Your in-app information lives on your device for as long as the app is installed. You are in control: delete individual entries inside the app, or remove the app to delete its data from your phone. Because we do not keep a copy on our servers, there is no separate server-side record for us to delete. Purchase records held by Apple, Google, and our purchase provider follow their own retention policies.
Children’s privacy
Frontline is a workforce tool for first responders and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region).
Security
Because your schedule stays on your device, it is protected by your device’s own security, such as your passcode and device encryption. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but keeping your data on your phone, rather than on a central server, removes an entire category of risk.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over your personal information. Because we do not hold your schedule or a profile about you, you exercise most of those rights directly on your device by viewing, editing, or deleting your data, or removing the app. We do not sell or share personal information. For questions about purchase records or to make a privacy request, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves, for example when a new connected feature ships. We will revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a clearer notice in the app or on this page.
